Penn & Teller

Penn & Teller on Broadway.  Yes, that sounds like a lot of fun.

Magic shows used to be a Broadway staple.  But recently they've been few and far between.  So when we heard that Penn & Teller were doing a limited run Broadway engagement, we had to go.

A successful magician has interesting tricks and illusions, and also entertains the audience with his patter and stories.  Penn & Teller have been successful for over 40 years.

As you come into the theater you are entertained by a jazz pianist, and you're invited to walk up onto the stage and sign an envelope that will be used in one of the tricks.   You're lso allowed to examine one of the props, a box.

I must say, it's the first time that I've been told to turn my cell phone ON in a Broadway theater -- it's for their first trick.

After the show, both men greet audience members in the lobby, and sign autographs.  They stay in the lobby until every audience member who wants an autograph has received one. Drew had both men autograph a poster.  When we left, both men still were surrounded by fans.

Here they are, promoting their Broadway run on the Wendy Williams show, and doing one of their tricks:
