So you should know that I am not a “shopper”. I live in shopping mall heaven — I’m ten minutes from the Broadway Mall, 15 from Roosevelt Field and 25 from Whitman Shoppes — but I seldom go to the mall. I prefer to shop on line. And when I do venture into a store, I usually know what I want and buy it as quickly as possible. I’m not one to browse through stores just to see what’s for sale. There’s a local chain, Baked By Melissa , that specializes in mini cupcakes. They’re primarily in Manhattan. A few years ago Becca introduced me to their product - delicate little cakes, exquisitely decorated, very tasty. I walk past their shop on 7th Avenue whenever we go to the theater. Well, last week I remembered that they used to have a second shop on 7th, right next to the original shop, but selling gluten-free versions of all their cupcakes. The gluten-free shop closed, but the company continues to make a gluten-free version of their product. So I thought that gluten-free cupcakes wou
Robin,
ReplyDeleteI sure did dance to the mewsic here. You put the groove in my move with some great classics from yesterday. Are you going to join Mary from Jingle Jangle Jungle for her Rocktober Music Fest? I am doing it! You'll find the details on her site if you make it over to her place. Thanks for joining the 4M crew on the dance floor today, my friend. Have a boogietastic week. I'll see you in September!
That Bowie and Jagger video is about the funniest thing I've ever seen, especially at the end, where they're shaking their rear ends... Good set!
ReplyDeleteThanks, guys, and yes, Cathy, I am looking forward to Rocktober!
ReplyDeleteSuper classic songs. Very nice. Enjoyed them all.
ReplyDeleteOh, nice dance music. You know how to boogie!

Fun dance tunes! Loved them all!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great dance music! I think I've played all of them except Grand Funk when I DJ'ed at the Nipclub on Twitter.
ReplyDeleteDancing to the Twist is something I remember well, having been born in the early 50's. Maybe that's why I'd like to see Chubby Checker one day - he's actually performed recently near to where I live. I actually knew all these songs and checked them out yesterday, then forgot to comment again (grrr). Thank you for the dance! Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteAlana, the Twist was popular when I was about 3 or 4. I'm told that my younger self danced a great Twist. I don't remember, but I suppose it's true.
ReplyDeleteYou sure got me dancing with all those awesome song choices! Thanks for getting me to move! ;) Hope you're having a great weekend!
