This week's musical theme is:

‘Motivation Monday’ – songs that motivate you to clean house, run errands, work out, or what have ya. 

So...what motivates me?


Well, the first song that came to mind....it was the 80's, and I signed up for an aerobics class.  We did a routine to this song, and it always got me moving.




How about one to keep you motivated while doing chores?



Yes, I still have Disney on my mind.


This next one motivates me to take time to enjoy life, to be an active participant in life, to appreciate nature and music and art....


And the last one motivates me to try and be a better person.

    I remember the 80s and aerobic class after work. Mewsic like 'Eye of the Tiger' was just one of many furtastic tunes to get motivate your body to get movin'. 'Whistle While You Work' is just so darn cute and catchy. I'm not going to hit play on that vid or it'll be stuck in my head all day. 'I Hope You Dance' is beautiful & inspiring. Thanks for sharing the dance floor with the 4M gang, my friend. Have a boogietastic week! ;)

    "Whistle While You Work" - it's been years (I absolutely hate housework and it would take more than singing bluebirds and squirrels to get me in the mood" but it seems so cute and innocent, not seeing it in years. I love "Eye of the Tiger" and wish I had made it up the Rocky steps when I visited Philadelphia (almost 20 years ago now - yikes). "I Hope You Dance" speaks to me right now. found a new blog today. Love it. http://secret-squirrel.webs.com/index.htm I've posted there under various names over the last 10 years or so. it went from a sweet little board that was Pete Werner's hobby to ....well, a real nightmare. that a board devoted to all things Disney can be such a nasty, racist, childish (not childlike) place.... loving the inside scoop, though. Did I ever tell you how "songbird" was banned from the DIS? I was a poster in good standing for 3-4 years. Even booked my trips through Dreams Unlimited, back when Pete was careful to distinguish between the disboards as a hobby and Dreams as his business. Pete and Webmaster Alex were struggling with server issues, the disboards would go down more often than they'd stay up. then Pete announced cosmetic changes to wdwinfo.com, which feeds into the disbaords forum. Another “your choice” week. How about new music from icons of the 60’s and 70’s? Let’s start with Jimmy Buffett’s posthumous hit, “Bubbles Up”. The Rolling Stones released a new song in 2023, it’s called “Angry”. The surviving Beatles (with some  help from AI) released “Now and Then”. And then Billy Joel …    The AI effects in the video blew me away… A note about the AI effects … the Beatles used it to isolate John’s vocals on an old demo.  Billy Joel had a young man play the piano then superimposed his own face onto the image of the younger man.
