Spider-Man!

 If you like the Marvel universe, you will love Spider-Man:No Way Home.  Fun, fun movie.

When last we saw Spider-Man, his secret identity had been revealed to the entire world. The current film begins with Peter Parker lamenting his fate, and requesting that Dr. Strange do something to correct the situation.

Before you see the current movie starring Tom Holland as Spider-Man, you really should revisit the Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield Spider-Man series.  

Because … you guessed it … Dr. Stranger’s magic goes awry, opening up portals to the multiverse.  Villains looking for Spider-Man start popping up — but they’re not looking for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man…

The Green Goblin, Dr. Octopus and Sandman are looking for Toby Maguire’s Spider-Man.  The Lizard and Electro are looking for Garfield’s Amazing Spider-Man.

Eventually all three versions of our hero meet, and must unite to save the world. 

Yes, three different versions of Spider-Man crawling across the screen, cracking jokes while fighting villains.

Marvel fan heaven.

And …oh, yes…do not get up from your seat until the screen goes blank and the house lights come on.  Because yes, there are two post-credit scenes.

    I've heard good things about this one, but I'm reluctant to go into a movie theater. Glad you enjoyed it.

    When the Liberty Mutual man tried to get special powers by letting a spider bite him, I kinda hoped, when they loaded him into the ambulance, that he'd be taking his last ride. Afraid it won't happen and we'll have to watch more antics starring him and the limo emu in 2022.

found a new blog today. Love it. http://secret-squirrel.webs.com/index.htm I've posted there under various names over the last 10 years or so. it went from a sweet little board that was Pete Werner's hobby to ....well, a real nightmare. that a board devoted to all things Disney can be such a nasty, racist, childish (not childlike) place.... loving the inside scoop, though. Even booked my trips through Dreams Unlimited, back when Pete was careful to distinguish between the disboards as a hobby and Dreams as his business. Another “your choice” week. How about new music from icons of the 60’s and 70’s? Let’s start with Jimmy Buffett’s posthumous hit, “Bubbles Up”. The Rolling Stones released a new song in 2023, it’s called “Angry”. The surviving Beatles (with some  help from AI) released “Now and Then”. And then Billy Joel …    The AI effects in the video blew me away… A note about the AI effects … the Beatles used it to isolate John’s vocals on an old demo.  Billy Joel had a young man play the piano then superimposed his own face onto the image of the younger man.
