Dunkin Donut's Croissant Donut
Last year Dominique Ansel created something called a Cronut, a cross between a croissant and a donut. It became a NYC sensation, people lined up outside the bakery for the chance to buy the remarkable pastry.
This year, Dunkin Donuts has come out with their version, a croissant donut.
It's nothing more than croissant dough, shaped like a donut. Flakey like a croissant, but kind of heavy. No cream in the middle, like you'd get with the Cronut. And the glaze tends to be overpowering.
Not worth the effort. A regular glazed donut is so much better.
