    Interesting playlist. The first song was one of those songs sung around a campfire without ever having heard a professional band sing it. Although I'm a fan of John and Buffet, I had never heard those songs. Of course I know the one I posted and The Garden Party. Have a great week!

    Tchaikovsky "The Waltz of the Flowers" is a good song pick. It's such a happy sound making me feel good all over. Now, I'm ready for Christmas to get here but I know that'll happen soon enough so for now I'll enjoy the season we're in. Nice play set of songs for this week's theme, my dear.     A very nice selection. How could I have forgotten about Where Have All The Flowers Gone? I guess they are where my memory is! I had not heard this Jimmy Buffet song and it was so much fun (complete with Jimmy's Bob Marley T-Shirt). Waltz of the Flowers - another one I had forgotten. At least I remembered Elton John.     Great tunes you've put together my friend. I haven't listened to Peter, Paul & Mary in so long. Great idea. I've never heard Elton's song empty garden. It's so pretty. Tchaikovsky - Waltz of the Flowers one of our players was waiting to hear this one and you made their dream come true. Great job. hehehe~ If I remember correctly there was a cartoon made with this songs actually having flowers dancing to the tune. So cute... dam I haven't thought of that in years. Sheesh I'm getting so old! YUK! Anyway great tunes here my friend and thanks for playing along with us. You rock!

    Thanks for the intro to some new tunes! I actually hadn't heard most of these, but seeing Scarlet Begonias reminded me that I should have included Grateful Dead's Sugar Magnolia to my list. Next time!

found a new blog today. Love it. http://secret-squirrel.webs.com/index.htm I've posted there under various names over the last 10 years or so. it went from a sweet little board that was Pete Werner's hobby to ....well, a real nightmare. that a board devoted to all things Disney can be such a nasty, racist, childish (not childlike) place.... loving the inside scoop, though. Did I ever tell you how "songbird" was banned from the DIS? I was a poster in good standing for 3-4 years. Even booked my trips through Dreams Unlimited, back when Pete was careful to distinguish between the disboards as a hobby and Dreams as his business. Pete and Webmaster Alex were struggling with server issues, the disboards would go down more often than they'd stay up. then Pete announced cosmetic changes to wdwinfo.com, which feeds into the disbaords forum. Another “your choice” week. How about new music from icons of the 60’s and 70’s? Let’s start with Jimmy Buffett’s posthumous hit, “Bubbles Up”. The Rolling Stones released a new song in 2023, it’s called “Angry”. The surviving Beatles (with some  help from AI) released “Now and Then”. And then Billy Joel …    The AI effects in the video blew me away… A note about the AI effects … the Beatles used it to isolate John’s vocals on an old demo.  Billy Joel had a young man play the piano then superimposed his own face onto the image of the younger man.
