Music Monday 1985

And it's a "your choice" week.

Today is a good day to revisit 1985.

I was 25 years old, working my first full time job, moving in to my first real apartment.

And the music I was listening to?

Wham!

A-ha

Huey Lewis

Prince

And Madonna

  2. All songs I remember well from that period of history! This was around the time I discovered MTV, even though I was 10 years oer so beyond their key demographic...

  5. Robin,

In 1985, DH & I bought our first new car as a married couple. It was a Toyota Supra. Sport cars always appealed to DH more than me, but I went along for the ride in making the purchase. :D 'BACK TO THE FUTURE' is a such a great 80s film and every time I hear Huey Lewis I think of those old movies. Now, I want to watch that flick! 'Raspberry Beret' was a catchy, fun song and probably my favorite Prince tune. Madonna is another great artist from that decade. Her mewsic dominated the airwaves throughout the 80s. 'LIKE A VIRGIN' is one of many hits by the Queen of Pop. Thanks for putting the groove in my move this morning, my darlin'. Have a boogietastic week! xx

    1. A Supra? Nice car. “Back to the Future” and it’s two sequels were on tv last weekend. Great films, great times.

  7. The 80's. Yes! The WHAM song is such a good song to dance to - chair dancing right now! Also listened to a-ha (another fave) and I'll catch the other songs later. 1985 was an interesting year for me. 80's forever! Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
