Wall Street heliport
A certain government official was in town 9/23 - 9/26 to visit the UN, etc. Thursday morning he took a helicopter from Wall Street to JFK International Airport so he could fly back to DC.
The heliport set up for his departure about 90 minutes before he left.
(forgive the glare -- photos were taken from our 14th floor office windows. I was wearing pink, how did you guess?)
There are two huge military helicopters, two passenger helicopters, and police boats and a Coast Guard vessel.
And beyond the heliport, the usual river traffic. And beyond Governor's Island, ships in the harbor.
Unfortunately, I was otherwise occupied when the helicopters finally took off...

The comings and goings must be fun to watch.
