Rocktober!
It's October...the air is cool, the leaves are turning, and it's time for some music!
I will be participating in #RocktoberMusicFest, a blog hop sponsored by Mary at Jingle Jangle Jungle.
Mary's rules:
Each day (yes, *EVERY* day) in the month of October, I will be making a post sharing a song that falls under the category of ‘Rock’.If you want to join me in the fun, all you need to do is write a post with a song and video that also falls under the category of ‘Rock’. This includes any sub-genre of Rock. (Hard Rock, Soft Rock, Alternative, Punk, Acid, Classic, Rockabilly, Southern, etc).
I don't think I'll be participating every day, but I'll try to post frequently. I'm going to choose songs and performers that have meaning for me.
And I'll be posting other things besides my Rocktober posts, including my participation in several blog hops. So you're likely to see more than one blog entry from me every day.
Let's get this party started with some heavy metal. The English band Led Zeppelin is credited as being one of the originators of the genre.
I remember them best for the song that was the theme of my 9th grade dinner dance.

But I think my favorite Zeppelin song is this one:
Good picks!
ReplyDeleteGreat choices! Led Zeppelin is a great way to celebrate the month. And no worries if you aren't able to post every day. I know it's a huge commitment, but the main idea of the #RocktoberMusicFest is to celebrate the music and to have fun - so if you happen to miss a day or two - it's not a big deal :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in today!
Both great picks. Hard to say what my favorite Led Zepplin song is - I am partial to a number of songs from Led Zepplin IV. And, believe it or not, some from "In Through the Out Door". My husband has all their albums, I believe. I may be participating later in the month, here and there. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteAlana, I’d love to see your picks.
ReplyDeleteRobin,
ReplyDeleteYou sure rocked with two of Led Zeppelin's classic hits. 'Stairway To Heaven' will always be my favorite from them. Rock on, my friend!
