Music Monday
And the theme is Latin Artists.
That’s very broad, isn’t it? Should be interesting to see what everyone chooses
I’m going to start with some Santana
Something from Shakira — en español
Let’s hear from Sergio Mendes
And we’ll end with the Macarena, the original version.
Oh, ok, here’s the more familiar version
We both had "Mas Que Nada." These are great!
ReplyDeleteGreat songs here. I thought a lot about all the great songs you picked.
ReplyDeleteA broad prompt gives you room to go anywhere you wish. :) You picked some good ones I'm very familiar with with Santana being right at the top of my list! Shakira definitely puts the spice in latin. Woof! Oh wait, Meow! lol I remember when the Macarena was a popular thing. I thought it was a bit silly in a fun way. Now, it just makes me smile thinking about how trendy it was years ago. Excellent song set today, Robin! Have a boogietastic week, my dear. xo
ReplyDeleteAh the Macarena...just as big as the damn chicken dance but better. Shakira knows how to shake and she has a unique voice. Love Santana and Ricky is always great for dancing when I rook ballroom dancing, we learned to cha cha to Santana.
ReplyDeleteExcellent post we had four artists in common.... Excuse me asking but I am nosy who is your cousin? 💜💜💜
ReplyDeleteEydie Gorme and my late MIL were cousins.
DeleteI enjoyed this theme and I'm enjoying reading the blog posts. Enjoyed your playlist. Fun fact, I heard the Macarena for the first time in a Mexican restaurant in Tijuana when my son was six; the waiters taught him the dance. We all had a great time in that restaurant!
