Music Monday

And it's a "your choice" week.

Several years ago I had the pleasure of seeing Neil Diamond perform at the Jones Beach Theater.   So today is "Neil Diamond Day" on Songbird's blog.

So many good songs, it's hard to choose just a few.  But here goes.

This next one resonates today....

This has got to be one of the best he's ever written, it was a big hit for the Monkees and for Smashmouth:

And we close it out with what's probably his most famous...

  8. Robin,

'America' is a great song with the 4th just around the corner! I'm not sure that I knew Diamond wrote "I'm A Believer". I loved The Monkees and this is an all-time favorite song! Thanks for hitting the dance floor with the 4M crew, my dear. Take care, stay safe, and be well!

    1. Yeah, he wrote it. A lot of famous folk wrote for the Monkees.

  9. I have to admit, Sweet Caroline should be my favorite, but every time I hear "America", it gives me chills. This live performance's intro gave me even more chills. So much, in fact, that I think I am going to put this video on my July 4th blog post. But then, that performance was exceeded by "I'm a Believer". I didn't know Neil wrote that song, either.
