another this and that

So yes, we went into the city Sunday to see live music.  Live music in NYC, how wonderful that sounds.

NYC is bouncing back.  if I hadn't seen the "outdoor dining" set ups on the sidewalks and the occasional masked pedestrian, I would never have known I was in post-Covid NY.

It was Pride weekend and the streets were very crowded.  Becca posted on her Instagram that she and a group of her friends went to some of  the Pride events.  So proud of my daughter, she's got a good group of friends.

And baseball is back, for real this time.  Last Wednesday we saw the Long Island Ducks play a double-header.

It was good to be back in the ballpark.

Jen is going back to the cheerleading world.  Two of her coworkers were talking about a youth league cheerleading team, 8 and 9 year old girls.  One of the coworkers coaches the team, and the other wanted to sign her daughter up for the team. When Jen mentioned that she used to coach high school varsity cheer, they were more than happy to have her volunteer  to be a coach for the youth team.

Drew's 4th of July barbecue promises to be a fun time.  Good food, good company, and something we didn't have for Memorial Day -- good weather. I'm looking forward to it.

Yes, life is starting to return to normal...
