Music Monday

It's Music Monday.  And the theme?

For National Neighbor or Sons Day song titles/lyrics about neighbors or sons

Let's start with Paul Simon's ode to apartment house living:

But there are good things about apartment life too:

The Drifters wanted to get away from their neighbors for awhile:

  2. Robin,

We were renters the first year of our marriage but it was a trailer not an apartment. At least we didn't have to worry about tenants overhead but we did have a neighbor who liked partying and playing mewsic loud any day of the week. lol He was a pretty respectful fella who happily complied to our wishes to hold it down. These days you might not get such a reception from your neighbor. The Cowsills ode to Mr. Rogers Neighborhood is a nice introduction. I like the harmonizing vocals of the sibling band. Who is Dennis Scott? I'm assuming he's a singer but I don't recognize the name. Thanks for joining us on the dance floor. Have a boogietastic week. Stay safe and be well, dear friend!

    1. I have lived in apartments, and yes, it can be ...interesting. I love the Cowsills. Dennis Scott is apparently big in children's music and TV https://dennisscott.net/music-dennis-scott-productions.html

  3. I grew up in a NYC apartment so can identify with both ceiling and floor noise and banging on the steam pipes. The Cowsill's arrangement of Mr. Roger's theme song sounded very - Cowsillish? It was fun. "Up on the Roof" is a favorite from my childhood. Enjoyable set! Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
