More ramblings

Drew and I both burst out laughing the other day when one of the clues on Jeopardy! turned out to be about H.M.S. Pinafore.  I’m sure it’ll be a topic of conversation at the next rehearsal.

Though I am annoyed that Ken Jennings thinks blogs are a thing of the past. Or at least that’s what he implied when “blogging” showed up as a clue.

Loved watching the Mets and Yankees play, a mini Subway Series in the Bronx. Two more games this weekend …

I wonder if Yankee Stadium has gluten free food?

Becca’s prom pictures showed up in my Facebook feed the other day, so I shared them with her.  My 32-year-old daughter had the temerity to say that her prom pictures made her feel old …

It’s really easy to accidentally step on someone’s tail when they stretch out on the floor in the dark … my apologies, Shadow, I simply did not see you.

Duchess is really Drew’s cat, she clings to him.  I’m apparently the backup, though — if she wants me to do something (like open a door, for example) she will stand in front of me and meow until I obey her command.

I think I’m going to make my caprese salad for the barbecue — cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, and balsamic vinaigrette.

  1. Did the barbeque show up yet? There's nothing worse than when teens talk about when they were "kids". It's like five years ago, and they act as if it was a very long time.

  2. Believe it or not, when I heard the H.M.S. Pinafore clue, I immediately thought of you. The blogging question made me think of how once blogging was the next big thing. My sister in law worked for a major newspaper and they required everyone in her position to have a blog. Well, now just we who enjoy it are left in the blogosphere and that's fine with me. Finally, I like caprese salad. No basil in the garden right now, alas.

  3. I don't think any of us will ever read, or hear, a Pinafore mention without thinking of you!
