This and that

 The weather changed AGAIN.  Yesterday was sunny and warm, perfect for an afternoon walk.

Signs of Easter.

But still clinging to Christmas.  I can’t help but wonder why.

I hate having to wait for MrBallen. So now I’m getting my true crime fix by watching shows on HLN and Oxygen.  Interesting how some of the stories he tells also pop up on Dateline and Forensic Files and the like.

I’ll cut back on true crime soon, when baseball season starts.  Eight days until opening day.

I was very productive while Drew was at rehearsal.  I baked a batch of gluten-free mini muffins. I usually bake full sized muffins and use paper liners so that the muffins don’t stick to the pan.  This was my first time using my mini muffin pan, and I didn’t have paper liners, so I was a bit nervous.  I used a mix, from a brand I know … I usually make corn muffins, but this time I tried their blueberry muffin mix.  I’m happy to report the muffins are delicious.

I also had a package of turkey cutlets that I needed to cook.  I dredged them in (gluten free) flour, dipped them in egg, then dipped them in a mixture of gluten free breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese and seasonings.  Baked them in the oven.  We’ll see how they came out. 

Cats are people too.  Want proof?

Duchess has made it clear that she is Drew’s cat.  Shadow is my cat.  No surprise there,  Shadow was mine and Duchess was his long before we lived together, after all, and we’ve spent the last two years teaching the cats to get along.  

Lately Shadow has been a bit clingy. Drew told me that when I went for my walk yesterday Shadow was upset that I left the house.  She was actually crying and he had to console her.

This apparently didn’t sit well with Duchess, because when I came home, Duchess was all over me, clearly trying to make Drew jealous,

I wonder what will happen when I take my walk today.
