This and that
Scary news from the East End … brush fires so severe they made the national news. I’m about 40-50 miles away but my local fire department contributed personnel and equipment to the effort to extinguish the fires. They’re investigating whether arson was involved, but apparently we’re still in a drought and that made the fires much worse. The governor has issued a burn ban for the area.
I’m hoping the drought doesn’t last into summer. Our lawn is so brown …
Still dragging from lack of sleep …why are we still doing Daylight Saving Time? Spring forward, fall back … why? Pick either Standard Time or Daylight Saving Time, I don’t care which, and stick with it …
But at least now I’ll have enough daylight to be able to walk after work. I did a lot of walking this weekend, and it felt good. I want to keep the momentum going.
And they’re predicting warmer weather this week. Almost springlike. Though we’re still a few weeks away from spring …
Which reminds me, it’s time to change the garden flags. I’ll post pictures when I make the change.
I’m so looking forward to warmer weather.
I forgot how dark the mornings are until today! I don't see the point of DST, when nature already makes our days longer in spring and summer.
ReplyDeleteBrush fires are scary. And it's sad that there are people in the world who would set them.
