This and that
The gluten free pizza dough makes great garlic knots. I will have to adjust the seasoning next time (too salty) but otherwise they were terrific. Some kitchen experiments work really well. Others …. not so much.
23 and Me just filed for bankruptcy. Glad I did my genetic test through Ancestry.com.
(Bet you can’t figure out why a girl named Robin would like robins 😆😆😆 Just because there’s a sign in my home office that reads “Robin’s Nest” …)
I may have to keep Merlin open while I’m taking my walks.
No walk yesterday — cold and rainy. Winter is refusing to leave. I am not happy.
But there are definite signs of spring in the air.
The robins, of course. And …
The Mets’ last spring training game was Monday afternoon against the Yankees. I love it when all the jerseys say “New York”:and baseball caps bear the letters “NY”. The game ended in a tie, something you’ll see only in spring training. The teams will meet during the regular season for the July 4th weekend at Citi Field. The Mets start the regular season in Houston. Home opener April 4 against the Blue Jays.
Both cats …but especially Shadow…are shedding.
Passover is less than 3 weeks away.
Tree pollen, need I say more?
Yeah, spring …
I'm happy: the season hasn't even started and the Cubs are already 0-2...
ReplyDeleteWhen you made the garlic knots, did you use kosher salt? That tends to b e a little more salty than regular salt, we're finding,
Yes. I usually cook with kosher salt. I’m either going to cut back on the amount or use table salt.
DeleteSo, perhaps you do want winter to stick around just a touch longer. Allergies are no fun.
ReplyDeleteI’ve got my supply of Claritin, I’m ready …
DeleteNow you have me craving garlic knots. And I'm happy you are enjoying the Merlin app. Soon, the warblers will be arriving where you live (if not already) and you'll get some interesting IDs of birds you may never get to see. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI mange to get a small walking in today.
