Ramblings
I took a walk yesterday. I took advantage of the sunny skies, bundled myself up in warm clothes, and strolled around the neighborhood. A lot of the houses are still decorated for Christmas. Some of the decorations are in tatters — we’ve had some very windy weather,
I walked past a house that made me laugh…
Remember this guy? He showed up just a few days before Halloween.
And stayed through Christmas,Well, all the Christmas stuff is gone from that house, but our friend on the tractor is still mowing the lawn … I think he’ll be here all winter …
Yeah, some of my neighbors apparently have a sense of humor.
All of our Hanukkah stuff is packed away for now. We’ll celebrate the holiday again in December…first night is December 4, a week after Thanksgiving.
The Valentine’s merch is in the stores, so I guess I can start thinking about February. Drew’s birthday, my cousin’s wedding … and, oh yeah, my birthday … As I said early, it’s a special birthday, so I’m going to have to plan a special celebration.
In the meantime, it’s January. The month where everyone tries to keep their resolutions. I didn’t make any resolutions. I’ve become a bit unfocused vis a vis diet and exercise, backslid a bit during the holidays. But I’m going to nip that in the bud. I’ve worked too hard to get where I am.
I think I’m going to be seeing a lot of our friend on the tractor …
Nothing wrong with a sense of humor.
ReplyDeleteI've decided that someone has to come up with costumes for the skeletons. Especially the huge ones. So many people got them and now don't want to store them, so why not dress them up all year? I'm convinced it's a million dollar idea, but not one I can pursue, so it's just a matter of finding someone to run with it.
