N is for Nigersaurus
So yes, I promised that there would be extinct animals in this zoo.
Enter the Nigersaurus, a creature of the Middle Cretaceous Age, 110 million years ago.
A creature built like a vacuum cleaner.
Really. The Nigersaurus was an herbivore, about the size of an elephant, with a featherlight skull held close to the ground so the animal could graze like a cow, with a wide mouth that could suck up food as it moved. It had rows and rows to teeth the grind up its food.
It’s one of the creatures seen in the Jurassic Park movies.
