#skywatchfriday
Here on Long Island we think we are far removed from the California wildfires.
But the smoke from those fires made it to the upper atmosphere, and into East Coast skies.
And look what it did to our sunset.
Please keep the West Coast in your thoughts, it must be awful there...
I wouldn't have thought the smoke reached that side of the USA. I live north of the fires and our air has been horrible for a few days. I hope with the rains it will be improving. It must much worse in the states to the south of me.
ReplyDeleteI hope the rain helps
DeleteThat´s unbeliable. Hope it will be sort out soon! Nice photos thou..

DeleteThat's amazing and disturbing. I feel guilty for sending our yucky, smoky air all the way to the east coast!
ReplyDeleteIt really does look like a sky from a SF movie about another world. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteYes, it's like something out of a science fiction movie
Delete...from the Book of Common Prayer: "this fragile earth, our island home." What happens near Vegas does not stay in Vegas.
ReplyDeleteApparently
DeleteIt's improving, actually. Probably because we sent it your way. Sorry! (I've actually gone out for a couple walks. The air is still unhealthful, but our skies are looking normal again. But I'm not close to any of the major fires.)
ReplyDeleteGlad it is getting better
DeleteI keep hearing rain is coming on west coast. I got my finger crossed
