Music Monday

And it's a "your choice" week.

Here's the playlist from my recent vacation.

If you don't know how the songs relate to each other, and you'd like to know, go read my trip reports.

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

And a bonus hit...

This video was shot on the Connecticut River, and includes the steam train we rode and the railway bridge we crossed....

Well, you knew there had to be some Billy Joel around here ...

  1. You picked some great ones here, and I like that they were all over the map and frequently didn't relate to one another.

  2. ...some fabulous oldies, just what this old dude likes! Thanks and keep the music playing.

  3. Hmmmm....I vaguely remember my mother singing "Three Little Fishies" to me. Smokey Robinson and the Miracles "Shop Around" brings back elementary school years. I always felt "River of Dreams" should have been done by Paul Simon and the video filmed in Africa, but I'll take Connecticut (it's been almost 25 years since I've been to Mystic). I didn't quite know what to make of "The Whale Song" with the collage of wild orcas, a Marinepark, and the Partridge Family enjoying a waterslide. All together, enjoyable!
