This and that

I’m going to a bridal shower today.  My cousin’s daughter is getting married next month; it’s a destination wedding and I won’t be able to attend, but I am looking forward to the shower.  I don’t get to see my cousins very often.

One week until Passover. The wine is purchased.   Most of the non perishables are purchased.  Yes, there was the usual craziness finding everything we want.  We will shop some more during the week.  I am looking forward to the holiday.

Weather has been miserable, so I haven’t been able to walk. I’ve been working out to YouTube videos. I really like Leslie Sansone’s fitness walking videos.  I’ve been using her videos for years, I feel like she’s an old friend.

I’ve finally finished bingeing on Mr.Ballen’s old YouTubes and podcasts. Waiting with bated breath for each new episode. I’m loving the strange, dark and mysterious…

I set up the bird feeder in the back yard, but I haven’t seen any birds feasting…maybe a different kind of food in the feeder would be more successful?

  1. Good question about the bird feeders. I read an article recently that had a chart of what birds like what seeds. When I had a bird feeder the spilled seeds drew in vermin from the empty lot. The lots not empty now, so I could try again. If yours is near a window, we'd love to see your cats watching!

  2. What type of seed are you using? I think a lot of our birds would enjoy sunflower seeds. I wouldn't use millet, which is in a lot of cheap seed mixes. But if you just put the feeder up for the first time, it may take the birds several days to find it.

  3. Best wishes to the happy couple!

There's a store called Wild Birds Unlimited. If you have one near you, they might be able to help you find the best seed for your area, or you could look at their website.
