Ramblings

From my yard …is this Lily of the Valley?

I don’t think the hyacinth was cultivated, I think it just sort of grew here.

I have no idea what this is, but you can see new growth underneath …

Yeah, this yard is going to need some work.

But at least we have a nice patio.  I had lunch outside yesterday.  We will have some great barbecues this summer.

And the possum doesn’t seem to mind the mess.

There’s a new cat in town

What is it with cats and windows?

I am still fascinated with the skies …

Yesterday’s Mets game was absolutely insane … Lindor got hit by a pitch.  Twice.  In the same inning!  11 men came to bat in the 7th inning.  Nimmo had quite a day, 9 RBI’s, thanks to two home runs (including a grand slam).  Tied the club record.  Final score Mets 19, Nationals 5.

I’m unpacking my suitcase, my trip is cancelled.  My friend’s elderly mother is in the hospital, so we have to postpone our visit.  Sigh.

  1. I'm sorry about your trip. I hope you can reschedule. And I hope your friend's mother heals up nicely.

  2. I'm sorry for the cancellation. When one has elderly parents, sadly, this happens.

  3. It does look like lily of the valley. I used to cut the flowers - they are so fragrant - and put them in a small vase.

  4. Grape hyacinths spread, like invasive weeds. And they have so much ugly foliage for the short time they are pretty. Sorry about your trip.

    1. Walk around this neighborhood and you’ll see hyacinth taking over lawns …
