Music Monday
Another “your choice” week. How about new music from icons of the 60’s and 70’s? Let’s start with Jimmy Buffett’s posthumous hit, “Bubbles Up”. The Rolling Stones released a new song in 2023, it’s called “Angry”. The surviving Beatles (with some help from AI) released “Now and Then”. And then Billy Joel … The AI effects in the video blew me away… A note about the AI effects … the Beatles used it to isolate John’s vocals on an old demo. Billy Joel had a young man play the piano then superimposed his own face onto the image of the younger man.
A beautiful shot in a beautiful city.
ReplyDeletePretty and moody!
ReplyDeleteLooks busy
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
It's so cool to see iconic landmarks when you're going about your day to day. Working in Manhattan has its perks.
ReplyDeleteyeah, definite perks. I actually don't work in the midtown area, I was in midtown for a meeting. I was walking past Bryant Park and could't resist taking a photo.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Dora, 42nd Street at 5th Avenue is very busy.
ReplyDelete...though actually I was closer to 6th Avenue ...er, Avenue of the Americas...when I took the shot.
ReplyDeleteNice one! I like how you capture the hussle and bussle in the foreground!
ReplyDeleteIt's been years (2013, I believe) since I've been anywhere near 34th St (and 2015 since I've been in the City at all). I think it's time to return again. After so many years living in a small village of about 14,000, it's almost overwhelming for this native New Yorker. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteYes, Alana, I think you do need to come back for a visit. The city is invigorating
