When we saw Herb Alpert a few weeks ago, he spoke about his wife Lani Hall, who was the lead singer for Brasil 66.  And of course he talked about Sergio Mendes.

So today we’ll hear from Mendes, Hall and Brasil 66.

    I enjoyed this very much. I am thrilled to see the good ole miniskirt. I was a bit young to be out in those miniskirt. I was often self conscious about wearing these skirts especially when my mom had me wear this frilly underwear that looked like a baby would wear.

    Great set, both the songs I knew and the songs I didn't. Each song is like a little gem, with perfect timing on the part of the singers. I hadn't heard One Note Samba/Spanish Flea in so long. I think I blogged about Herb Alpert a while back and mentioned Lani Hall.
