Feline Friday

So …

When Drew and I decided to move in together, each of us had a cat.  Duchess was Drew’s cat and Shadow was mine,

We feed each cat separately,  Duchess gets Royal Canin, expensive cat food that’s easy on her delicate digestive system.  Shadow gets Fancy Feast and Meow Mix.  Duchess can’t eat Shadow’s food, it upsets her stomach.

We feed them in separate rooms and at different times.

But you know they try to eat each other’s food.  I think it’s a dominance issue, because they’re also chasing each other around the house

Duchess is spying on us.

Her couch,

I bought this cat tree for Duchess long before Shadow existed.  She gave up using it when Shadow decided to use it, but now Duchess is reclaiming it.

  1. Yup, definitely a dominance issue. I doubt either will back down.

  2. My late cat Benny ate a lot. He was fed in the bathroom with a closed door so his "sister" had a chance to eat. When let out he'd race to eat hers. Problem was, she likes to come back and nibble. Since he's been gone she eats a bit, leaves it for hours and comes back. I'm glad a dish of dry food was always there, or she would have starved!

  3. OMC that could be my sister and me, Duchess and Shadow😹Granny has to stay with us when we eat, otherwise we eat each others food. I also eat her kitten kibbles, and she ate mine and she did that since she became my sister🙈She also claims my places and I...well...I let her, because I'm a good bro. Granny says it will get better, you'll see🙏
