  1. Wicked, I am reading, has become a politically charged movie, as has its sequel. I do wonder what L. Frank Baum, who has quite a connection to Central New York State, would have thought of Wicked, and the resulting controversies. I have not read the original Wicked book nor did I ever see the play or the movie. I was not planning to but now I just might.

    1. Baum’s original books had hidden political undertones, very populist. Maguire’s book was very political, and the movies even more so

  2. This isn't a film or book that appeals to me but it's nice to sample the songs from the production. I can I would not be happy to pay to go see this to learn it had a lot of political undertones. I want to be entertained. Politics needs to be kept in its place which is out of the entertainment business. Thanks for sharing and joining the 4M party, Robin! Have a boogietastic and blessed Thanksgiving week, dear friend !! xo

  3. I had no idea it was political. I can see that it's about being different, bullying etc... I like Cynthia's voice more than Indena..oops, I. All John Travolta right now
I still have to see the first movie. The songs are ok but, for me, they don't have the same oomph as many do back in the 30s and 4ps
