‘Fool’ song titles or lyrics
So let's start with Frankie Lymon.
And then there's Rick Nelson:
Fooled around and fell in love ...
And we close with one that can fit both this week's theme and the theme for April 27.

DeleteI really like Ricky Nelson and felt bad he was killed in the plane crash. I hope your Passover was a good and blessed one.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, he died too young
DeleteOh, Ricky Nelson, he was a favorite of mine when I was growing up. Nice selection of songs. Let's be wise and not fools. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteYes let’s be wise
DeleteWell, this is going to be my favorite playlist of the day. It is amazing that Frankie Lymon was only a teenager when he wrote Why do Fools Fall in Love. Poor Little Fool was on of my favorite Rick Nelson tunes and Fooled Around and Fell in Love just gets everyone off their feet and on to the dance floor. Thanks for the great tunes that inspire some very fond memories of days gone bye. Have a blessed week.

DeleteGreat Fool tunes! I did something different but this weeks 5 On Friday,I promise!!

DeleteGreat songs! This just goes to show that artists have sung the fool for awhile.
ReplyDeleteOh yes definitely
DeleteRobin,
ReplyDeleteRicky Nelson had such a smooth voice. Miranda's cover of 'Fooled Around and Fell In Love' isn't bad but I prefer Elvin Bishop's original the best. Thanks for joining me on the dance floor today, darlin'! Stay safely indoors and healthy. Have a boogietastic week! xx
Thanks
DeleteI used the original "Fooled around and fell in love" but I think I like this one better.
ReplyDeleteI'm convinced that the key to Ricky Nelson's success was James Burton on guitar. This is a lot like "Hello Mary Lou" in structure. I had this one as well.
And, finally someone uses "Why do fools fall in love"...
thanks. and you're right about the guitar.
DeleteGreat classic songs. Thanks for sharing them.
