Ramblings

 My new favorite gadget … portable treadmill.  

Because it’s cold outside.  Jen suggested I buy it, Becca has one that she loves.  That seems to be the norm lately, my very smart daughters finding and recommending gadgets.

No, I don’t plan on putting it anywhere near my desk.

I’ve been eating too much junk food lately.  I guess the holidays will do that to you … No wonder everyone joins a gym in January.  But now I have my home gym …and I’m getting an early start …

I’m thinking about getting one of these 

When I was a child I got to go to day camp every summer.  My father, a teacher, had a summer job at that camp.  I have wonderful memories of that camp.  A couple of years ago I joined a Facebook group of people who’d attended that camp.  That’s how I found out that the original owners sold the camp, and that it no longer exists. And on Friday I found out that the former owner of the camp had died.  She must have been in her 90’s.  In running that camp, she and her husband brought so much joy to so many people …

Don’t you love Fandango events?  On Friday Drew and I went to the movie theater to see Merrily We Roll Along. It’s a musical by Stephen Sondheim, originally produced on Broadway in 1981.  It was revived on Broadway in 2023, starring Jonathan Groff,  Daniel Radcliffe and Lindsay Mendez. We never got a chance to see the show, but when we heard they’d filmed a live performance … well, we had to see the movie.

Daniel Radcliffe has come a long way since Harry Potter …

Lots of sirens today.  Our volunteer fire department is escorting Santa Claus through the neighborhood.
