Celestial happenings

Solar eclipse this afternoon — here in NY we’ll have a mere 10% totality, hardly noticeable.  Total eclipse will be over Iceland.

And the Perseus meteor shower peaks tonight. On a new moon, so no light interference.

  2. It's overcast right now (surprise!) no idea if it will clear before the best viewing hours overnight. But I'll be sleeping, I'm hoping. I have a cousin in Greenland right now on a cruise and I hope she gets a good view.
