Road trip day 3 part 2
So our ghost tour was canceled — we rebooked for tonight.
So … dinner.
Because I am gluten free I have to put an effort into choosing a restaurant. There’s a Facebook group of people who live in this part of Virginia who are gluten free, and they made suggestions of where to eat. Three people recommended Food for Thought. The place doesn’t just serve food, they also serve ideas.
Some quotes on the walls
I ordered the chicken pad Thai — chicken, veggies and rice noodles in a spicy peanut sauce. Yummy.
But even better — they brought me a dinner roll, wrapped in foil and warm from the oven. For someone who usually has to watch everyone else dive into the breadbasket, that was a real treat.
More to come …
That apples and ideas quote was a though provoker. I looked at the gluten free menu. Quite a lot of things looked really good! People fuss about going out to eat with those who can't eat gluten, or vegans, or vegetarians, but really, who needs glutens or meat every meal?

DeleteAt least you had a good dinner. I hope the postponed tour is amazing.
