Fall foliage predictions for the NYC/Long Island area — we are supposed to reach peak color on November 6.  

Has migration season started?  I heard Canada geese fly over my house sometime after midnight.  We have geese that live on Long Island and don’t migrate, so I don’t know …

The future of the Mets is starting to look bleak … sigh.  Their last World Series appearance was 2015.  Their last World Series win was 1986. No October baseball is a real possibility.

Halloween decorations are starting to pop up around the neighborhood.  I can’t think of Halloween until the Jewish High Holy Days are over. Today is Rosh Hashanah.  Yom Kippur is October 2.  Don’t mention Halloween until October  3.

But yeah, it really is time to think of fall activities…
