Music Monday
It’s another “your choice” week, And today I am playing the music of a man who has succeeded as both a solo artist and as a member of a famous quartet.
Yes, today’s post features music you won’t find on Spotify. Today I am playing the music of Neil Young.
Let’s start with a few from CSNY.
This one was written by Joni Mitchell about a little music festival …
And here they are at Farm Aid.
This was a solo hit.
More from Farm Aid
And we close it out with “Heart of Gold”
Robin,
ReplyDeleteNice set of songs. Neil Young isn't my favorite member of CSNY band but he's an interesting choice to listen to on occasion. Thanks for sharing on the dance floor. Do stay warm, safe, and well, my dear. Have a boogietastic week!
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young were the pre-incarnation of the Eagles. Their rhythms and tight harmonies are very similar to Eagles. It's hard to believe that almost all of those young hippies are now in their mid-seventies. Ouch!!! I had Neil Young's "Harvest" album and found it very good back in the day. Thanks for this trip down memory lane.
ReplyDeleteNice choices, especially Heart of Gold. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch great songs. Love the footage of them playing at Woodstock where they nailed it.
ReplyDeleteNeil Young was (and is) a great, whether with Crosby, Stills and Nash or on his own. You have two of my favs here, Heart of Gold and My, My, Hey, Hey. And, of course, Woodstock - I enjoyed the video with all the stills. Walking on the grounds of Woodstock this past June was definitely a highlight of 2021 for me.Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
