music. Monday

If  I understand this blog hop correctly, today I’m supposed o post songs with thefollong theme:

“The National Day calendar inspires song picks using these keywords: MAIL, SOUP & VACUUM”.

OMG that’s a challenge.  But I’ll give it a go.

First up, the Marvelettes

Next up, Paul McCartney

Shirley Temple was always a delight

And check out  Freddy Mercury in drag, vacuuming the house....

  2. Welcome to the 4M dance floor, my new little Songbird! ;)

Yes, you got this week's theme right on the money! I wish I could say, 'The Check's In The Mail' like Melissa shared this morning. :) 'Please Mr. Postman' by The Marvelettes is an excellent tune. I grew up on The Carpenters' cover of this tune. Paul McCartney and Allison Krauss together make for a nice session today. I always loved little Shirley Temple as a kid. Wasn't she an adorable thing? She passed away almost five years ago.

I hope you'll join us next week for 'your choice song picks'. That means anything goes! So, get creative and have fun! Have boogietastic week, dearie!

  3. Welcome to our Monday Blog Hop, and I hope you will return, because, judging from your first picks, you will ROCK! (and yes, you did it right. )Shirley Temple brings back so many childhood memories (watching her old time movies on channel 5 or maybe it was channel 9 or 11 - well, whatever)and Please Mr. Postman is also a great song - but the winner was Queen because that vacuuming in drag was just too, too much. Have a great week and I hope to see you again on these pages. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
