Music Monday
Two weeks ago I posted a whole bunch of songs Carole King wrote for others. Today’s post celebrates Carole’s hits.
But before we get there …
Let’s remember Roberta Flack, who passed away last week at age 88.
Now it’s time for some Carole King
And this interview with Carole from a few years ago …

The music world loses another good one! 😢 R. I. P. Roberta Flack. 🌹 I heard the first song way before it was released as a single. It was in the Clint Eastwood movie "Play Misty For Me" and Ioved it!
ReplyDeleteCarole King has an amazing catalogue of songs! Thanks for the concert. The interview video is not available in Canada.
Not surprised. The reason I showed the interview …. “she showed up to a performance of “Beautiful” on Broadway and sang with the cast.
DeleteA fine tribute to two legends...
ReplyDeleteGreat talents both. RIP Roberta Flack. As for Carole King - if all she had been was a great songwriter, that would have ensured her fame. But, her singing, too! One of the great talents of the 20th and 21st century - she's 83 now and I hope still going strong. (Jazzman is one of my all time favorite songs, btw).
