Music Monday
Another “your choice” week. How about new music from icons of the 60’s and 70’s? Let’s start with Jimmy Buffett’s posthumous hit, “Bubbles Up”. The Rolling Stones released a new song in 2023, it’s called “Angry”. The surviving Beatles (with some help from AI) released “Now and Then”. And then Billy Joel … The AI effects in the video blew me away… A note about the AI effects … the Beatles used it to isolate John’s vocals on an old demo. Billy Joel had a young man play the piano then superimposed his own face onto the image of the younger man.
Madness, Bon Jovie and John Denver heaven 💜💜💜
ReplyDeleteEvery time I hear Jennifer Nettles I fall in love with her music again. I just may have to feature her in a couple of weeks. She is a much under-appreciated voice. Excellent playlist this morning.
ReplyDeleteNice continuation of your theme from two weeks ago. Simon & Garfunkel were so awesome together! Have a boogietastic week, Robin!! xo
ReplyDeleteGreat old music. I love the old songs!
ReplyDeleteThanks for using my suggestion!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed listening to these tunes. Love Simon & Garfunkel and still miss John Denver. He was, to me, getting good looking as he aged without the baby face and those round glasses. Did I just write this out loud??-lol
ReplyDeleteJohn Denver - what a distinctive voice he had. The Bon Jovi song was new to me, but Our House is one of my favorites. And, of course, any post with a Simon and Garfunkel song has to be a post I like. Hope you are enjoying your new home.
