Music Monday —America

Went to a great concert Friday night.  Remember America?  America is an American rock band formed in England in 1970 by Dewey Bunnell, Dan Peek, and Gerry Beckley. The trio met as sons of US Air Force personnel stationed in London, where they began performing live.

We had great seats, but my photos and video aren’t great — too many people in front of me.

Here are some of their biggest hits.

A Horse With No Name

Ventura Highway

You Can Do Magic

Tin Man

Lonely People

Sister Golden Hair

And my fan videos

  1. I remember them now, well at least the song, The Horse with No Name. Haven't been to a concert in years, don't like big crowds now with the covid situation.

  3. America was hugely popular when I was in college and I knew every one of the songs you featured in your playlist. Seeing them at their current age makes me a bit wistful (where did the years go?) Their hit "A Horse with No Name" has become a joke to some but they are so much more than that one song.
