Music Monday
Freedom of choice week
This video popped up in my YouTube feed Saturday morning. Azi Schwartz is a Cantor, a clergyman at the Park Avenue Synagogue in NYC. He’s known for putting Hebrew prayers to popular music.
The song inspired me to find others about a beautiful morning or beautiful day.
Let’s start with the Rascals
How about some U2?
Remember Daniel Boone?
Simon & Garfunkel
You have to have a little Jimmy Buffett
Cat Stevens/Yusef
Carpe diem.
Great theme this week. Truly, every new day is a gift. The first (if I can call it a cover) of Oh What a Beautiful Morning was fantastic - they truly made it their own, as the saying goes. It was also great hearing Oh What a Beautiful Morning and The 59th Street Bridge Song. After all these years these songs can still make me feel groovy.
