Music Monday

 And the theme?

Learn something about this first month of the new year and build your playlist around that for your music inspiration.

January is known for cold weather, short days and post-holiday letdown.  But it’s also a month of new beginnings, of possibilities.  There’s a lot to learn about the month, .

So, an interesting fact about this month:

January’s Moon is called the Wolf Moon. The Saxon word for the month was Wulf-monath or “wolf month.”

Hmmm

Another fun fact

  • Ellis Island opened on January 1st, 1892 allowing more than 20 million immigrants to enter the United States.

January 13 is National Rubber Duck Day

National Popcorn Day is observed on January 19

So yes, it’s an interesting month.

Let’s celebrate

  2. It's me, CAAC! I love both song picks for January's "wolf moon". Cool factoids and song match up for this week's theme. Thanks for sharing and for joining the 4M party, Robin. Have a boogietastic week! xo

  3. Great song choices, especially Popcorn, the winner of the All Time Greatest Earworm. I've only heard the original a couple of times - the Hot Butter version helped to make 1972 so special. And Neil Diamond's America is one of my all time favorites, too.
