Ramblings

How I spent my Saturday night

First time all season I didn’t have to wear a raincoat or a sweatshirt.

Can I say that the Duck Club’s gluten free menu is amazing?

Pity they lost, but the fireworks were delightful.

But today (Sunday) it’s raining again.  It’s been a very wet summer.

So why does my lawn look so brown?

Saw an interesting plant at Jones Beach the other night.  Still trying to figure out what it is.  Adam’s needle maybe?

  1. That is a very odd plant! Those look like seedpods. I looked up Adam's needle (a kind of yucca I do recognize), and it looks like you're right. I haven't noticed the seed pods on ones near me, maybe they've been cut off after bloom. Oh, baseball. Going to be a big issue in my city. They want to build a minor league stadium. But, right downtown, taking out a park, and a lot of houses and business, with the interstate over most of it. To "revitalize downtown." There's no parking! Plus, if they want to "revitalize" it they need to stop permitting so many weed shops. That's what's downtown now.

    1. Our minor league ballpark was built on empty land adjacent to the court complex and shares a parking lot with the courts,

  2. How nice to see a Ducks game without a sweatshirt. I hope your nice weather returns soon.
