This and that

 So one day last week I went for a walk, and had to divert from my planned route because they were repaving the street I’d planned to walk.   The town has been working on a sidewalk improvement project for several weeks now, but I had no idea the project involved paving any of the streets.  

Then yesterday, when Drew came home from his union meeting, he was frustrated and annoyed because the town was repaving another street, and he had to drive all around the neighborhood to find his way home,  I walk all over the neighborhood and would have known how to get home, but Drew hasn’t explored as much as I have.

 He’s really getting active with the union, they want to start a retirees chapter for his school district.  I’m glad he found something to keep himself occupied.

OMG … too funny … remember last summer, Drew bought a grill, it was supposed to be delivered in May? And his appointment was cancelled and rescheduled multiple times?  We canceled the order ant the end of June and bought the grill elsewhere, and Drew got a full refund from the original seller.  Well, you might remember I wrote a “lawyer letter” back in June, demanding a refund.   I never got a response, but Drew got his money … well, guess what came in the mail yesterday?  A response to my letter, advising that my client got his refund … interesting way to do business,

And yes, it’s been a bit windy around here. All of the cameras have been picking up weird motion.  Not to mention, birds, squirrels, rabbits, possums and the neighbors’ the local stray cats. The two cats I see all the time, the ones I assumed belonged to my neighbor, are actually strays. Several neighbors feed the strays.

And I’m sure I’m not the only one around here who feeds the birds. I like to have them in my yard, it’s “cat tv” for Shadow and Duchess.

My new obsession:

It’s really good.  

But I’m going to have to do a lot of walking to burn off the calories…
