The problem with entertaining guests …you have to clean the house, cook the meal, get out the good dishes…and then clean the house and put everything away after the guests leave.  But we enjoy having people over.  

And the cats aren’t hiding upstairs when we have guests, they’re both become more social.

I loved how Stephen Colbert guest starred on Elsbeth … as a late night talk show host.  The new season looks promising.  Such a quirky detective show.

And what Colbert did … it reminded me of Jerry Lewis in King of Comedy.

Drew is a big fan of Jerry Lewis.  We saw Lewis’ one man show back in 2013.  

Yeah, I’ve been blogging a long time, haven’t I?

So we hunkered down for the nor’easter.  The governor declared a state of emergency because of high winds and the potential for flooding.  The outdoor food festival we planned to attend was canceled, and our local government urge us to stay home and stay safe. They even canceled the Columbus Day Parade. We’re ok,  never lost power, no real damage to the house — though my Halloween garden flag …no permanent damage …

But the fall weather has definitely arrived.
