More ramblings

As you know, Drew is a retired teacher.  At various times throughout his career he was active with his union — teachers’ unions are very strong here in NY.  Last week he went to a union meeting ….

…there’s no retirees’ chapter for his school district.  Yet.  He’s going to help create a retirees’ chapter.

And tonight is the first rehearsal for the upcoming production of Yeoman of the Guard.

So I think Drew will be busy for awhile.

He’s got me thinking … I used to be involved in several activities…then Covid.  I should get involved again…

My latest passion …

Yes, gluten-free!

I’m loving the weather forecast.

Yes, fall. Hard to think about Halloween when the temperature hovers around 80°. But now …I’ve
been putting our Halloween display together.  I’ll post photos when it’s complete.

We had a lot of kids for trick-or-treat last year, I loved handing out candy. Im expecting the same thing this year.  I bought a really great outfit to wear when I’m handing out candy.   I’m looking forward to that.

Maybe this year we’ll visit a haunted house again.  We used to do that every year, usually at the Bayville Scream Park.  The park has gotten very expensive and very overcrowded, but there are other venues …

Think we’ll see a few Elphabas and Glindas this year?

  1. Oh, I've done 80 degree Halloween. Probably not this year, but it has happened in the past.

  2. We have been a bit over 80 lately, but nights are in the mid 40s. Heats up quickly. We get a lot of trick or treaters, being a block from an elementary school, lots of kids around. I get candy of course, but also Halloween pencils from the Dollar Tree. And stickers. Even the teenagers, which we do get, like pencils!
