Music Monday
And it's a "your choice" week.
One of my favorites from the early 70's died in a plane crash. Only 30 when he died. Gone way too soon.
Today I will enjoy the music of Jim Croce.
Let's start with "Operator"
"I Got A Name"
Who could forget "Leroy Brown"?
Or Big Jim?
And now the one that always makes me cry ... released as a single posthumously, his second #1 hit...
Robin,
ReplyDeleteJoe Croce was a great singer. I really love his music! Great selections to share on the dance floor, my dear. Have a boogietastic week! ;)
Anyone who can watch the video of Time in a Bottle and realizing that Jim Croce's son A.J.(yes, I had to look it up) has had his own tragedy in life (left fatherless right before his 2nd birthday, abuse leaving him blind at 4 and only later recovering part of his sight) and more recently, the sudden death of his wife, leaving him with two children to raise...still, I understand that A.J. is an accomplished musician. My personal favorite, next to Time in a Bottle, is I Got a Name. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
