Unexpected walk

So the mechanic called, my car was fixed and ready to be picked up. So Drew drove me to the shop.

The car is still at the mechanic’s.

Computer glitch.  I wanted to use my credit card to pay.  My bank’s computer wouldn’t talk to the mechanic’s.  I have to go back tomorrow.

Drew didn’t want to leave until the credit card problem was sorted out, but he had to go to rehearsal.

The shop is about 2.5 miles from our house.  I regularly walk 2 or 3 miles when I walk around the neighborhood.  It was a nice afternoon.  I decided to walk home.

So I got to see parts of the neighborhood I hadn’t seen before. I had to walk about a mile before I was back on familiar streets.

A unique lawn ornament.

A couple of interesting houses.

I love the name of this church. St. Bernard.

I saw a robin

And a low flying plane.

Three days ago this was a house.  I knew something was happening when I saw that the property was fenced off.

Like we really need another McMansion. Sigh.

And I got home long before moonrise…

Yes, that’s the full moon rising …

  1. It's nice to walk new streets (so long as it's not too far from home and you know where you are!). I like that howling statue. My mechanic is around the corner, at the end of the street. 15 minute stroll. I hope he never retires!

  2. Sorry about the card problem. I just picked up my car from the mechanic's today. (Oil change and brake adjustment.) It would have been a nightmare for me if my card hadn't worked. I hope yours is sorted now.

  3. I like the wolf sculpture! Also, was it just me or did the full moon have a weird color last night? I walked my dog at around 12am and the moon looked like it was more yellow than usual …
