Ramblings
Baby, it’s cold outside …
Didn’t realize Long Island was relocated to the Arctic.
Thank goodness for the snow blower.
We had a visitor.
My bird feeder needs to be refilled. It seems every bird in the neighborhood paid us a visit yesterday.
You can see the feeder is empty, they’re scavenging for seeds that fell onto the snow.
Got on the scale this morning and saw a number I haven’t seen since I was in college. I am amazed. When I look at my doctor’s clinical notes in the Patient Portal and see that she describes me as being “normal weight” and not “obese” …
It’s suddenly fun to buy clothes …
My employer has a wellness program. You download an app and earn points by doing activities that benefit your physical and mental health. Examples include exercise, visiting your doctor, doing a meditation, keeping a food diary, linking your Fitbit to the app … doing these activities in sufficient quantity earns gift cards and ultimately results in lower health insurance premiums if you earn enough points. Many of the activities are things I’ve been doing for awhile, so why not get credit for them?
So this year’s Super Bowl (February 8) will be the Patriots vs. the Seahawks. I don’t have much interest in the game itself, but I do want to see one of the musical acts — Green Day will be performing at the Opening Ceremony. I saw them in concert at Giants Stadium in 2005 — Becca was a huge fan. You can see all the good commercials on YouTube, so I won’t be watching the game. I do have an interest in the score, though, because I bought a box … but it’s easy enough to track the score on line.
In 2027 the Super Bowl will be played on February 14. That could be … interesting …
We are returning to the scene of the crime…going back to the Melting Pot on Valentine’s Day. That was the site of my famous faint. Hopefully this time won’t be so … dramatic.
