The weather yesterday was great — 45° and sunny. So I took a walk.
Weirdness in the neighborhood. We still have houses decorated for Christmas, but then I saw this.
Very cute, but I’m not ready for Valentine’s Day.
And there’s actually a house on my block that has two pumpkins in display. Can you believe it? I would have thought the squirrels….
The weather is supposed to change soon, colder temperatures and snow in the forecast. Glad I bought the treadmill.
Cane home and caught a sunset through my window.
I was looking at the window because of the birds. Yes, I’m filling my bird feeders. The cats love to watch the backyard show.

Neighbors have reported seeing a hawk in the area. I looked for the hawk during my walk, but no luck.
But the other morning I saw a whole flock of Canada geese fly over my house. Our local geese don’t migrate, they spend the winter here on Long Island. We’re also a major stopover for the geese that do migrate, so in spring and fall we have more geese than we know what to do with …
There was a Harry Potter movie marathon on TV this weekend. I never get tired of watching. I’m anxious for the new series, I’m hoping much of the story that was left out of the movies makes it into the new show. I’ve read all the books more than once, and there’s so much they can add …
The movie actors are now old enough to play their characters at the end of the last movie, the “19 years later” segment. The segment that set up the Broadway play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Tim Felton is actually playing Draco Malfoy on Broadway right now. I haven’t seen the show, but I read the script.
Guess I’ll end here, since it’s time to refill the bird feeders …
