Packing
Remember I told you that my old elementary school is closing? So sad.
Jen has been spending time at the school. She's helping a friend pack up her classroom - Kim was Becca's third grade teacher and became a family friend. She will be moving to another school in the district, along with 20 years of classroom materials and memories.
It's weird hearing Jen refer to the teachers in that school by their first names. But she's not the 4 1/2 year old who first set foot in that building, eager to register for kindergarten. She's a college graduate and a school district employee, and those teachers are now her coworkers and colleagues.
So sad to see the school closing. So many memories.
