This and that

Not liking the weather lately — overcast, cloudy, hot and humid.  We’re expecting rain later.

The balloon from my birthday last winter is finally dying.

 So Friday night we saw the latest Jurassic World movie.  The plot is formulaic, but the special effects are terrific, and it’s a lot of fun trying to figure out who is going to be eaten by a dinosaur.🦕 

We plan to see the new Superman movie soon.  It’s supposed to be the best since the Christopher Reeve movies.  It’s also a bit controversial, it’s considered “woke”.  Clearly not a problem for me.

We went to the Pinafore cast party Sunday.  They had a membership meeting before the party.  Drew was elected to the governing board, and I’m going to be on the finance committee.  

Still no word on which show they’re doing next season.  

It’s the All-Star break, so no Mets games this week. We’re catching up on stuff we DVR’d.   We’ve been binge-watching The Pitt.  I’m a huge fan of Noah Wyle, and I absolutely loved ER, so of  course I was going to like this show.  Very intense, far more graphic than you’d  see on broadcast TV, but very much what  I expected.  Great show.
