Nervous

So, having purchased a dress for Becca’s wedding, I turned my attention to appropriate attire for her bridal shower.

Just placed an order on line.  It’s a website I’ve purchased from before.  What I like about the site is that (for a small fee) you can customize the style of your dress — change neckline, sleeves, length — to suit your needs.  Many of the dresses are currently on sale, 40% off.  I customized the dress, placed the order …

… and now my Facebook feed is full of people complaining about the company, there have been problems where orders weren’t delivered, etc. How a previously reliable company has fallen apart.

Maybe I should be shopping for a backup dress.  Just in case.

  1. Everything will be fine, I'm sure. I hope.

  2. That sounds like a good business model. I hope they stay in business and succeed. And I hope you get your dress.

  3. Hope it comes in time, and is what you customized! It sounds like a great idea, changing sleeves, neckline, etc. You know, people post complaints much more often than compliments. When someone asks to speak to the manager, they want to complain, not say what a great job someone did! So, I wouldn't put too much store in those comments. Maybe a back-up dress is a good idea though!

  4. Perhaps their business model was a bit too much for what they were capable of? Good intentions but not so good execution? One thing you don't need now is a case of nerves. I think the backup dress is a good idea just for your peace of mind.
